Connect has successfully delivered a
new visual identity and enhanced
functionality for the ireland.ie
website, aimed at the Irish domestic
holiday market. As a framework
supplier to Fáilte Ireland, the
National Tourism Development Authority
for Ireland, Connect won the
commission to redesign the website and
to improve usability. Features of the new content-managed website include improved information architecture and navigation, comprehensive search capability and faster query responses, online accommodation booking, integration of mapping capability, a user registration system to allow Fáilte Ireland access to key marketing information from website users, and an exciting ‘My Ireland’ feature. ‘My Ireland’ allows website users to enjoy a personalized site experience and to create a ‘virtual suitcase’ of events, hotels, offers, website search results and more, and allows them to plan their holiday activities in great detail.
